The Retirement of Taiji Boys  It was the parting prepared long time ago. The <Good Bye> in his 4th album implied the parting. They used to say that they would retire when they felt their musical and physical limitation and it came true. This became a big issue and a great shock to the whole society where Taiji Boys had become a cultural symbol.

    The Taiji Boys Commemoration Association made a start      publicly.  The people, who were the member of the Nationwide      Fan-club Union became the main part of this association and      those who were engaged in the academic world, the press      and the pop culture, also took part in this organization as the      first promotor. The number of those who participated was about 700.


The single album <The regret about the age> put on sale(June, 1996)

 <The regret about the age>, which had been turned down by the Board of Review censorship with the direction to modify the words of the song so put in his album without its words, put on sale as a single album, because the pre-censorship had been abolished.
 It was written on the cover of the album that 'the fish that has been looking for hope was chopped into pieces and discarded to a garbage can.  It nevertheless don't lose its hope to fly high up.

     The music video of <Come Back Home> of Taiji      Boys won the honorable prize of MTV video
     music award in the section of Asian Viewers      Choice where one was selected by the TV      viewers after fierce competition with the Singers      from Indonesia, Philiphine and Taipei. Seo Taiji      didn't attend the ceremony of awarding prizes.
