December 23rd, 7:00 P.M. Seo Taiji had his first solo concert in Seoul 88 Gymnasium. This concert's title was <SEO TAIJI's SPEECH> and this concert's tickets were sold out after 10 minutes. This concert means Seo Taiji transfers his messages to fans so each sides of the stage, there were big screen and he sang with messages from the slide screen. Fans also could know the hidden lyrics from the song METROPOLIS and DO YOU REMEMBER which were kept in a secret. This concert's opening was time for underground band like what Seo Taiji said before. Seo Taiji came out about 8: 10 after the performance of RAINY SUN, who are famous known as ghosty metal, Hardcore rock band DOCTOR CORE 911, and hiphop group CB MASS. The mood of the gymnasium was already hot and he first sang METROPOLIS in the prison for the answering his fans' crowd. He sang METROPOLIS with his band in the prison and he and his band performed breaking the prison when they came out on the stage. This performance was the symbol of resurrection after Seo Taiji's coming back which had been in chaos with his leaving of the metropolis (Seoul). After that, he sang his new song TANK, ORANGE, etc and his song COME BACK HOME, and YOU IN CHAOS in a hardcore rock version which was rap music. There was not only hardcore. After the first part of a concert, Seo Taiji sat down in a small stage which was decorated with the moon, stars, and clouds in a Christmas mood and he sang SAD PAIN softly. His fans turned on lighters so they made such a romantic mood. After singing 9th song THROUGH CHILDREN'S EYES, Seo Taiji said "I'll sing you such a meaningful song today." then he sang SI DAE YU GAM which was cut out from an investigation 5 years ago. When he sang this song, he held out the fake newspaper in an enlargement and with saying <SEO TAIJI, COPYING AGAIN THE SONG ULTRA MANIA AFTER RETIRING BECAUSE OF THE COPYING SONG COME BACK HOME> and he had performed cutting the newspaper to criticize wrong journalism. In this concert, the most shocking stage was the song <DO YOU REMEMBER>. After showing the screen that father abuses her daughter with his belt, devil sculpture coming out on the each sides of the stage and during his singing, bat's wing came out in the middle of the stage. This showed the main story of the song <DO YOU REMEMBER> that it was about a fearing child because of abuse. At the almost end of the concert, he sang FREESTYLE with Kim Jong Seo who had been in SINAWE with Taiji himself. Taiji showed Chicken slam to his fans which was just like the fighting of chickens. After the concert, Taiji showed his love to his fans with appearing heart figure with his two arms then he disappeared to the backstage. In this concert, Seo Taiji showed high level of performance even though during the opening, when underground bands performed, sound quality wasn't good enough because of didn't touch the setting of instruments for the concert.
