Taiji-Newsletter
Hi, guys! TodayĄŻs newletter is full of news to make you feel excited
about.
I guess what you are most curious of is whether an encore concert
will be held. But I canĄŻt confirm it for now, since it is still
under discussion. Although we have to wait for the final decision
until tomorrow night, the brighter side is that Taiji is very positive
about the encore concert. Yet, you know, there are many things to
be considered. If confirmed, the concert will be held about Saturday,
Feb. 3rd. Tomorrow night, IĄŻll let you know how it turns out.
All the members of Taiji band were feeling sorry after the final
concert in Taegu, not because there was something lacking in the
concert but because all of them had some lingering feelings of emptiness
that usually come after such a performance. I hope we could have
good news tomorrow.
Next, the joint concert with Limp Bizkit was put off. In fact, it
has been verbally agreed to have the concert about Feb. 7th. However,
a member of Limp Bizkit suddenly made an announcement of his marriage,
which took by surprise even the other members. He is said to have
a marriage ceremony about mid February after their New Zealand tour.
So Limp Bizkit wanted to put off the joint concert to March, but
this time it didnĄŻt fit with TaijiĄŻs schedule. Yet, in their good
feeling about our country and TaijiĄŻs music, they are willing to
perform with Taiji on the stage anytime when the schedule on both
sides could be adjusted for it. Thus, the joint concert is not cancelled
for good, but just postponed for some day to come. I believe you
can wait with a thrill of hope.
And donĄŻt be concerned about your gifts and letters to Taiji. Rest
assured that all of those things were sent to Taiji. IĄŻm thankful
to our fans in Taegu for their efforts to make the concert memorable.
I wonĄŻt forget how our fans in Taejon also willingly took troubles
for the concert. A bunch of thanks to all of our fans!
This will be a short notice of how our discussion on the encore
concert turned out. Yes, it was finally confirmed. The concert will
be held at the First Olympic Stadium, 6 p.m. Saturday Feb. 3rd.
This place can accommodate 124,000 people?5,000 in standing and
7,400 in seats. IĄŻll let you know how to get tickets on Monday.
The ticket price will be the same as in the tour concerts. Even
though you are not satisfied with the date and place, please, take
into account the fact that this has been decided after days of sit-up
discussion on possible conditions. As director of the show, Taiji
will begin his lonely struggle to make the show perfect in sound
and somewhat different in style from the previous tour concerts.
Do you remember the day before 5 years, Jan. 21st in 1996? I put
the notice that Taiji Boys would retire 10 days after. Looking back
on that painful day, IĄŻm very glad to have news good enough to
eclipse that bitter memory today. As Taiji said, his Ą°HopeĄ± concert
will go on. See you on Monday. Bye.
